It's a Boat!

Merry, Merry Christmas. The house has been decked out and it looks beautiful! We had a wonderful third Christmas with Drew. He danced at the Christmas Eve service at church -- and had some stylin' moves! Me-wrose and Papa spent the night with us, and we woke up early to open presents. Drew got a great wagon from Me-wrose and Papa, which he decided to rest in to watch "the Movie Cars" (as he calls it) mid-way through opening presents. He was blessed with many fun things like legos and an Elmo doll that sings the ABC's. His last present to open was a sled from Santa. Tim was showing it to him and he said, "Do you know what this is, Drew?" Drew's response was adorable: "Don't know." And then as he is looking at it more he exclaimed, "A boat!!" It was so cute! He thought his sled was a boat! I thought it was prety cleaver of him to think of that. We are going to be lucky enough to use his sled when we go down to Indy to celebrate Christmas with the Liby family next weekend (although, we were honored to host Micah, Brandi, Zac, Gabe and Grandma Liby on Christmas day). Right now, Drew is content with asking his Daddy to drive him around the house in his wagon!

We had a a yummy meal of ham, sweet potatoe casserole, green bean casserole (or just plain green beans for those of us that are gluten free), baked beans and rolls -- it was delicious!! It was just a fun day all around, and it was great to be surrounded by family to celebrate the birth of Jesus. One of my favorite things to think of is that Jesus himself said: "I have come that they may have life, and life to the fullest". His entire purpose in coming was to give us life. It is my prayer for you as this year comes to an end, that you find power and life in Jesus.

Wishing you life,

Katie (& Tim)
