The other night at dinner, Tim was re-warming food to get a second helping. As he was standing, he came over to me at the table and began rubbing my shoulders (it felt wonderful). Drew looked at Tim and he said, "Ub my ack, Daddy. Ub my oul-ders." (Translation: Rub my back, Daddy. Rub my shoulders.) Tim told him that he would in a minute, when he was done rubbing mine. At this point Drew looked at me with his sweet little face and said in a sweet little quiet voice, "It feel good, Mama?" It was so sweet ... I wish I had a recorder handy so that I could record the exact way he said it ... writing it out on a blog does not do it justice!
We closed on the sale of our house on February 11 and with the help of family and some sweet friends (very specifically, Trevor Landon, plus a few others), we moved that weekend into our apartment. We are back at the same apartment complex we were in when we first got married, and Drew has transitioned very well. He likes the "partment" because we have to go over a bridge to get to the door. It has been nice because Drew is able to play in his room more since we are all on the same level so his toys are more concentrated to that are verses the living space. Not sure how long we will be here, but it will work until God leads us on our next adventure.
