Well, we woke up this morning and my first thought was, "Today is October 18 ... our due date." Dang! The last 40 weeks have FLOWN by! It has been a busy time, but a good time for us as we prepare to transition to a family of three. Oh, don't get me wrong ... it has been a long journey -- and not always the most pleasant. We have been swamped as we prepare the house for Baby Liby, and have had our share of exhausting times. I, for one, have done my share of crying as I think of all of the changes we are about to see and the fact that I am actually going to be a mom ... that stuff is pretty scary, sometimes. However, I know that we do not walk this road alone -- we have family and friends who are so willing and ready to help. And, I know, without a doubt, that God has prepared us for such a time as this -- and He has this baby just for us. There is no other baby that we are supposed to have ... in His perfect plan for Tim and me, Baby Liby, whether boy or girl, is our first child ... that is amazing. So, I sit here, just about 40 minutes left until I am officially "over-due" and thank God for the plans He has for us and for the baby He is about to bless us with. I sit here amazed at His timing, His grace and His mercy that will see us through parenting.
And I can not wait to meet Baby Liby ... our heritage from the Lord.
Very Contentedly,
Katie

Katie, the nursery looks so beautiful! What a sweet place for a sweet baby. Glad to hear you have peace about the due date coming and going. Those darns things are never a guarantee! I've been thinking of you, and will continue to pray that God blesses you with a wonderful labor and delivery and transition to motherhood! -linds
WOW! I thought your room was absolutely beautiful, but your blog today takes the cake. I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud of Tim. You are going to be great parents because you know from the beginning who really is the Father.
I love you with all my heart.
