A Sweet Heart ... Take Two

Okay, so no sooner did I publish my previous post then Drew just said another sweet little thing that just melted my heart ... we were playing a new game where I sit on the floor and he runs to me to give me a hug and I am "pushed over" by his strength so I fall back and we laugh. He loves this game! It is so funny because he just cracks up laughing. Once we start, he just wants to do it over and over again. Tonight, as we were playing, he runs into me, I fall back and we are laying on the floor giggling and he says, "I just love you". It was adorable and precious and not something I will soon forget.

A Sweet Heart ...

The other night at dinner, Tim was re-warming food to get a second helping. As he was standing, he came over to me at the table and began rubbing my shoulders (it felt wonderful). Drew looked at Tim and he said, "Ub my ack, Daddy. Ub my oul-ders." (Translation: Rub my back, Daddy. Rub my shoulders.) Tim told him that he would in a minute, when he was done rubbing mine. At this point Drew looked at me with his sweet little face and said in a sweet little quiet voice, "It feel good, Mama?" It was so sweet ... I wish I had a recorder handy so that I could record the exact way he said it ... writing it out on a blog does not do it justice!

We closed on the sale of our house on February 11 and with the help of family and some sweet friends (very specifically, Trevor Landon, plus a few others), we moved that weekend into our apartment. We are back at the same apartment complex we were in when we first got married, and Drew has transitioned very well. He likes the "partment" because we have to go over a bridge to get to the door. It has been nice because Drew is able to play in his room more since we are all on the same level so his toys are more concentrated to that are verses the living space. Not sure how long we will be here, but it will work until God leads us on our next adventure.

We Have the Long-Awaited Clear to Close ...

... And the close date of February 11, with the change of possession occurring on February 13 or 14 -- that is yet to be determined. That means that by this time next week, we will no longer own the first house that we purchased together, the house we brought Drew home to, the house Drew first took his steps in, the list could go on. Basically, we are leaving our first house ...

Very bittersweet.

Postponment of the Move ... Ugh!

So, we had all of these plans to move this weekend -- and they have been postponed until next weekend. This whole time we thought our tentative close date was February 9, and we just found out that it is actually February 19! So, all of our plans to move have been postponed to next weekend -- which does give up more time, always a wonderful thing to have -- but it means that we to live out of these boxes for an extra week ... yikes! We are looking for help to move, so if you want to help, let us know!

12 Days and Counting ...

12 days. That is the number of days until we are no longer owners and residents of our beautiful historic home. That is not too many ... less than two weeks. Wow.

Appraisal's In ...

... and we are good! I have been praying like crazy that our house would appraise out at the sell price, and it did -- even a little more! Looks like we are one step closer to moving and it definitely time to start packing!

God is good and His timing is, too!

Ask and You Shall Receive ...

I know that I have been lax in posting pictures the past few months, so here are a bunch to try to catch up ...

Here is the low-down on each picture:
The first is a PJ party with his cousins, Harlee, Kellyn and Keegan.
The second is him blowing out the candle at his second birthay party.
The third and fourth are of Drew and cousin Liam at Halloween -- Drew was a scarecrow and Liam was a crow.
The next three are making Christmas cookies at Ma-wroose & Papa's house.
The last one is of Drew, Papa and Ma-wroose at Auntie Anne's surprise 30th birthday party -- this was such a cute night because Drew kept slinging his arms around Ma-wroose and Papa for a picture.

Enjoy!
